Understanding the structure of parts
Get a quick understanding of the structure of parts within Appeggio.
Making edits to particular parts requires those parts to be selected. To ensure you are selecting the right part, having an understanding of the structure of parts is helpful.
As an example, let’s take a look at the structure of an information card that has been added. It’s a card that contains some parts, including an image, some card text fields, and some buttons:
Each part within this card has its own toolbar when selected, and each part has a ‘parent’.
Selecting the image within the card will help illustrate this. When the image is selected, you’ll see that it is highlighted with an orange line around it, and the image toolbar has been activated, as shown below:
When the image has been selected, resulting in the image toolbar being activated, only the image part can be edited or formatted.
By clicking on the square icon on the left of the image toolbar, you will be taken to the parent part, which is the card:
When the card has been selected, resulting in the card toolbar being activated, the card part can be edited or formatted.
In this case, the card is inside of a column. By clicking on the card toolbar to select the parent, I’ve been taken to the column toolbar. You can now format and edit the column.
